Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Receiving Clerk for their Welkom branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.
The purpose of this role is to ensure adherence and efficient receiving processes are followed and promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies.
The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:
- Unload and unpack stock of products
- Inspect stock for damage and correct quantities
- Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person
- Match stock to their associated purchase orders and enter receiving data on paperwork
- Prepare and organize received stock for inventory
- Return damaged products to customers
- Monitor inventory levels
The key educational requirements and experience for this position would be:
- A valid matric certificate is a MUST
- Minimum 2 years work experience in a stores / warehouse environment is ESSENTIAL
- Knowledge of computer software packages and MS Office
- Knowledge of the K8 system is an ADVANTAGE
- Good product knowledge
- Knowledge of warehouse processes
- Knowledge of relative safety standards protective clothing
