Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Debtors Clerk (Jnr) for the Cape Admin branch.  This incumbent will be reporting to the Regional Accountant.

The purpose of this role is responsible for recovering debts and reconciling the debtors accounts as efficient as possible.

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Monitor debtors and administer debtor master records on the system (age analysis)
  • Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivables’ data
  • Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
  • Review long outstanding debtors and seek advice from superior on legal steps to follow
  • Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues
  • Handle and provide advice on all account related enquiries
  • Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • A Financial / Bookkeeping Certificate is a MUST
  • A Matric certificate is a MUST
  • Knowledge of financial system, K8 is an ADVANTAGE
  • Previous experience as a Credit Controller is an ADVANTAGE
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
  • Systematic knowledge of databases and tracking systems
  • Strong knowledge of computer software packages and MS Office

Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of Stores Assistant for their West Coast branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

The purpose of this role is to lead, plan, organise and control the daily operations of the branch and warehouse.

The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:

  • Assist with receiving stock, quality checking, handling, and packing
  • Assist with dispatching of stock, quality checking, handling, and packing
  • Process orders (picking slips) from Internal sales
  • Ensure the correct items and quantities are pulled, and to sign on the picking slips and stock bin cards
  • Take customers stock / orders and paperwork to the dispatch area
  • If applicable ensure any cable cutting is correct
  • Ensure good stock control and administration
  • Attend to customers that come in to collect stock / orders
  • Assist with loading and offloading of stock and packing in correct stock allocation areas
  • Ensure effective housekeeping and safety according to prescribed standards
  • Ensure stores are kept neat and tidy
  • Ensure that security regulations are always adhered to
  • Perform other duties under instruction from the Branch / Stores Manager when required
  • Assist with stock taking

The key educational requirements and experience for this position would be:

  • Matric / Equivalent is a MUST
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a stores / warehouse environment is an ADAVANTAGE
  • Good product knowledge
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards protective clothing

The purpose of this role is to improve the company’s market position and achieve financial growth. To act as the front of the company and be dedicated to creating and applying an effective sales strategy.

The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:

  • Develop and implement strategic action plans for the business development function to improve overall business performance
  • Align the business development strategy with the organizational strategy, goals and objectives
  • Strategies, research, develop and review appropriate business development principles and processes and adopt best practices
  • Ensure adherence with corporate governance and ethics guidelines
  • Review and evaluate business development risks and make suitable recommendations
