Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of Driver Code 14 for the Cape Town branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

The purpose of this role is to ensure the efficient delivery and collection of materials to customers.

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Complete vehicle inspection sheet and ensure that the vehicle is roadworthy before embarking on a journey
  • Report any defects / accidents of the vehicle to the branch manager immediately
  • Determine whether the truck complies with weight and height limits on bridges and tunnels and compliance with rules and regulations for transporting materials
  • Navigate each destination on schedule to determine the most expedient trip
  • Load stock according to the log sheet together with the operations manager and ensure that stock correspond to the delivery note
  • Submit all relevant delivery administration and reports of each delivery for an accurate record of what has been completed
  • Obtain clients’ and customers’ signatures as an acknowledgment of having received the delivered goods
  • Effectively communicate with clients and customers to resolve complaints
  • Ensure that the delivery vehicle is always clean
  • Keep record and advise the operations manager when the vehicle is due for service
  • Report all delivery related problems to Operations Manager
  • Maintain compliance with all safety and security regulations

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Matric / Equivalent is a MUST
  • A valid Code 14 drivers’ licence is a MUST
  • A valid PDP / CD licence is a MUST
  • Hazchem certificate is a MUST
  • A valid passport is DESIREABLE
  • Proven work experience as a Truck Driver
  • Must be able to handle dangerous goods
  • Familiar with GPS technology devises, AVL units, etc.
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards protective clothing

  • Ensure that all the relevant information is obtained from customers to ensure accuracy of all orders, i.e., order numbers, delivery address, contacts, special arrangements etc.
  • Assist to resolve any queries customers may have
  • Make sure that no stock leaves the company without the proper documentation
  • Take initiative while still working well within company policies and procedures
  • Attend weekly and monthly sales meeting when required
  • Assist with stock taking

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • A valid Grade 12 certificate is a MUST
  • N6 Certificate in Electrical Engineering is an ADVANTAGE
  • Minimum 5 years electrical sales experience is a MUST
  • A minimum of 2 years Management / Key Accounts experience
  • Strong knowledge of electrical products
  • Driver’s licence is an ADVANTAGE
  • Knowledge of MS Office packages – preference will be given to users with strong K8 knowledge

Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Warehouse Manager for the East London branch.  This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

The purpose of this role is to be responsible for ensuring that operational objectives are met and that all aspects of the warehouse/stores are running smoothly.

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Supervise the bulk storage operations from goods receiving, storage and despatch
  • Receive products from suppliers
  • Ensure received products are packaged in accordance with Voltex specifications
  • Monitor supplier vehicle off-loading and ensure control of goods receiving areas
  • Monitor stock levels including cycle counter stock items daily
  • Check correct items and quantities are pulled and loaded for despatch
  • Check correct packaging and quality of items loaded for despatch
  • Ensure no unauthorised removal of products from warehouse
  • Ensure no unauthorised personnel enter the stores
  • Ensure that the required paperwork is in order for all transactions
  • Ensure that the warehouse and stock within are kept secure at all times
  • Ensuring the warehouse is kept neat and tidy at all times
  • Conduct general administrative duties
  • Assist with stock taking

Qualifications we are looking for:

  • Matric / Equivalent is a MUST
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a stores / warehouse environment is an ADAVANTAGE
  • Strong product knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of computer software packages and MS Office
  • Knowledge of warehouse processes
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards protective clothing
