DESPATCH CLERK – TZANEEN

Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Despatch Clerk for their Tzaneen branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

The purpose of this role is to ensure adherence and efficient receiving processes are followed and promptly resolve any problems or discrepancies.

 The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:

  • Unload and unpack stock of products
  • Inspect stock for damage and correct quantities
  • Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person
  • Match stock to their associated purchase orders and enter receiving data on paperwork
  • Prepare and organize received stock for inventory
  • Return damaged products to customers
  • Monitor inventory levels

The key educational requirements and experience for this position would be:

  • A valid matric certificate is a MUST
  • Minimum 2 years work experience in a stores / warehouse environment is ESSENTIAL
  • Knowledge of computer software packages and MS Office
  • Knowledge of the K8 system is an ADVANTAGE

STORES ASSISTANT (WETTON)

Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of Stores Assistant for their Wetton branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

The purpose of this role is to lead, plan, organise and control the daily operations of the branch and warehouse.

The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:

  • Assist with receiving stock, quality checking, handling, and packing
  • Assist with dispatching of stock, quality checking, handling, and packing
  • Process orders (picking slips) from Internal sales
  • Ensure the correct items and quantities are pulled, and to sign on the picking slips and stock bin cards
  • Take customers stock / orders and paperwork to the dispatch area
  • If applicable ensure any cable cutting is correct
  • Ensure good stock control and administration
  • Attend to customers that come in to collect stock / orders
  • Assist with loading and offloading of stock and packing in correct stock allocation areas
  • Ensure effective housekeeping and safety according to prescribed standards
  • Ensure stores are kept neat and tidy
  • Ensure that security regulations are always adhered to
  • Perform other duties under instruction from the Branch / Stores Manager when required
  • Assist with stock taking

STORES SUPERVISOR – BLOEMFONTEIN

Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Stores Supervisor for their Bloemfontein branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

The main function of this position is to oversee the team of employees within the warehouse/stores, and to be responsible for ensuring that operational objectives are met and that all aspects of the warehouse/stores are always running smoothly.

The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:

  • Supervise the bulk storage operations from goods receiving, storage and despatch
  • Receive products from suppliers
  • Ensure received products are packaged in accordance with Voltex specifications
  • Monitor supplier vehicle off-loading and ensure control of goods receiving areas
  • Monitor stock levels including cycle counter stock items daily
  • Check correct items and quantities are pulled and loaded for despatch
  • Check correct packaging and quality of items loaded for despatch
  • Ensure no unauthorised removal of products from warehouse
  • Ensure no unauthorised personnel enter the stores
  • Ensure that the required paperwork is in order for all transactions
  • Ensure that the warehouse and stock within are kept secure at all times
  • Ensure the warehouse is kept neat and tidy at all times
  • Conduct general administrative duties
  • Assist with stock taking

The key educational requirements and experience for this position would be:

  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in a stores / warehouse environment is an ADAVANTAGE

Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of Storeman for their Blackheath branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

The purpose of this role is to is to assist in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the warehouse.

The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:

  • Maintain the warehouse including general upkeep and cleaning
  • Label all inventory items
  • Ensure that all stock are in the correct bin locations
  • Assist with receiving of stock, checking stock and packing stock away
  • Assist in pulling stock for customers orders
  • Execute regular/weekly cycle counts
  • Assist in stock take preparation
  • Investigate stock variances and report them to branch manager
  • Assist other departments with backlogs when necessary

The key educational requirements and experience for this position would be:
