CLEANER – LEPHALALE

Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Cleaner for their Lephalale Branch.  This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.

The purpose of this role is to maintain the housekeeping standards in the office areas and provide refreshments.  The goal is to keep our building in a clean and orderly condition.

The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:

• Responsible for floor care, perform various surface tasks, including vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and spot-cleaning carpets of all office areas and boardrooms
• Maintain cleanliness of employee desks, chairs, and counters, carrying out tasks such as dusting, spraying and cleaning
• Responsible for removing trash in offices and common areas
• Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of restrooms daily
• Maintain cleanliness of balconies and balustrades
• Responsible for cleaning of windows in offices, boardrooms, etc.
• Arrange refreshments for visitors and staff
• Ensure that the kitchen is clean, fridge is kept neat and tidy
• Ensure all management fridges are cleaned and refilled with the necessary refreshments
• Advise management of any required cleaning supplies
• Responsible for reporting repairs and replacements encountered when executing daily tasks.
• Monitor and report any health and safety hazards to management
• Ensure the safe storage of dangerous substances
• Assist with general office duties as and when required

The key educational requirements and experience for this position would be:

• Matric / Equivalent is a MUST
• Proven experience as a Cleaner
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
• Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets
• Knowledge of relative safety standards protective clothing
