Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of a Cycle Counter for their Tzaneen branch. This incumbent will be reporting to the Branch Manager.
The purpose of this role is responsible for counting and monitoring inventory levels and product movement at the warehouse to ensure materials align with the declared lists and documents.
The key tasks & responsibilities for this position are to:
- Monitor and control inventory integrity
- Perform daily cycle counts
- Maintain product identification, location, and lot code accuracy
- Research inventory discrepancies
- Work with Inventory Control Coordinator to resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
- Open and pack containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand
- Report discrepancies of over/under amounts and any damaged products
- Assist with pulling orders as per invoice for counter sales and despatch when required
- Assist with general stores/warehouse duties when required
- Assist with stock take
The key educational requirements and qualifications for this position would be:
- Matric / Equivalent is a MUST
- Minimum of 2 years work experience in a stores / warehouse environment is an ADAVANTAGE
- Recent experience with Cycle counting / inventory is a MUST
- Good product knowledge
- Knowledge of warehouse processes
- Knowledge of relative safety standards protective clothing
