GRAPHIC DESIGNER – ALRODE

Voltex (Pty) Ltd is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the role of Graphic Designer for their National Wholesale.  This incumbent will be reporting to the Chief Financial Officer.

The purpose of this role is to interpret organizations’ needs and to design solutions with high visual impact. To work on a variety of products, including website graphics, books, magazines, product packages, websites, exhibitions, corporate identity elements, etc.

Your areas of responsibility:

• Study design briefs and determine requirements
• Schedule projects and define budget constraints
• Conceptualize visuals based on requirements
• Specialise in creating visually engaging content for various social platforms
• Design and develop advertising campaigns such as Facebook Ads, Google Display Ads, and YouTube Ads
• Clear understanding of typography (fonts, kerning, leading, and how to create visually appealing text)
• Ensure layout and composition elements is arranged for clear communication and aesthetic balance
• Ensure the correct use of color and underst how colors work together, evoke emotions, and maintain brand consistency
• Print Design Knowledge – Understanding print production, CMYK vs. RGB, and file preparation for print
• Dvelop illustrations, logos and other designs using software
• Test graphics across various media and amend designs after feedback
• Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing, error free and on-brand

Qualifications we are looking for:

• A valid Grade 12 certificate is a MUST
• Post matric qualification in Graphic Design and or Digital Marketing a MUST
• Minimum of 3 years in a similar industry
• Practical knowledge of design software and technologies (3D Modeling with Blender 3D, CG Animation with Davinci Resolve) is a MUST
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and sometimes After Effects or Premiere Pro for motion graphics) is a MUST
• Practical knowledge of MS Office packages
• A strong knowledge of Electrical products
• Drivers licence and own vehicle is an MUST
